An Italian company from the Veneto region that provides transport, logistics, and relocation services for B2B and B2C clients. It operates multiple UPLs (warehouses/operational centers) with a team of thousands of employees - drivers, loaders, operators, contract managers, and specialized roles.

The daily operational planning was entirely manual and error-prone:

• Attendance at the UPL was recorded every morning through a physical register. The Contract Manager (CM) marked each employee present, distributed tablets and car keys
• Then the CM consolidated the attendance into a large Excel that loaded with great difficulty
• From that Excel, the data was manually copied into another document with formulas that generated statistics
• The document was sent daily to the Operations Office, which consolidated the information for all the UPLs
• In parallel, they used an external software for employee time tracking (QR scan on arrival/departure), but only for working hours
• People appeared only as numbers in the reports - there was no granular data per employee (efficiency, excused/unexcused absences, sick leave, history)
• In addition, the Italian status system is complex - each role has dozens of specific statuses grouped into multiple categories.

The diagnosis: The external system works well for time tracking, so there was no point in replacing it. The real problem instead was the lack of a detailed planning layer to unify attendance, the complex statuses, the per-person statistics, and automated reporting.

The decision: A new platform (the attendance + reporting module) + integration (with the time-tracking software for working hours).
